Publishing my first novel, This Glorious Cause, gave me an incredible feeling of accomplishment! I loved the process of bringing the protagonist, Gideon Hawke, to life. It was quite a challenge to weave his story into the events of the first year of the American Revolution, but it was a challenge I embraced. But the story is far from over! Long before I finished This Glorious Cause I had already started work on the sequel, Times That Try Men's Souls. Now that second book is near completion and I have decided to join the Pentian publishing revolution. I hope many of you will join me in continuing the story of Gideon; his love, Ruth; their friends; their foes; and their Glorious Cause!

It is incredibly exciting to see backers getting behind Times That Try Men's Souls!

I have been making a lot of progress on the manuscript; my editor is reviewing the second draft, and my graphic artist is working on the maps that will help illuminate the action! With their help, and with backing from Pentian and the great folks who have invested in the campaign, I am eager to see my words come to life!

Having completed the first draft of Times That Try Men's Souls, it was with some trepidation that I sent the file off to my editor, Ashlee Enz. Today Ashlee sent back the edited draft; she was very thorough, but the story is still on track. I am going to fine-tune the manuscript over the next few weeks and have it ready to go by the end of the crowd funding campaign!

The crowd funding campaign was not as successful as we had hoped, but it was successful enough to move ahead with publication. I am cleaning up a few details, and then we will be in the editing and production phases!
